Although first translated into English in 1976 from the Hungarian original of 1965, this systematic treatment of epee fencing only became comprehensible to English-speaking fencers when it was completely rewritten by Stephan Khinoy in 1998. Since then the book, with its 400-pages and 83 multiple-action line drawings, has become accepted as the classic work on epee and is used as one of the set texts in the British Fencing coach training system.
