Fencing: the modern international style is a systematic, in-depth introduction to the theory and practice of fencing both the how and the why. Unlike most introductions, its purpose is to give students enough knowledge to teach the sport, not just practice as beginners. But beginners can learn from it, too. The book is clearly and extensively illustrated. The original material has been supplemented with chapters on the history of fencing, a safety checklist, and a worldwide directory of suppliers and federations.
