International Transaction Fees

Please be aware that although we process your transaction in US Dollars payment is sent to a US Dollar bank account based in England. In recent months due to the gigantic losses that the banks have made they have started to look for ways to claw back (more) money from their customers and it seems that some of them are applying an international transaction fee. This is nothing to do with the exchange rate as the money stays in US Dollars and we really can’t see how the bank can justify such a charge as the payments are electronic and the physical location of the final bank is fairly irrelevant. We are unable to tell you if or how much your bank may charge you it seems to vary from nothing in most cases to a few dollars or in some cases up to 3%. We are afraid that Leon Paul can’t be held responsible for these charges and you should check with your card issuer before purchasing to find out if you will be charged. Please if you are charged by your card issuer make a short written complaint to them explaining that you think these charges are unfair, customer complaints are the only thing that will get them to change their policies back. We are very sorry for this inconvenience.

Making A Purchase

Please note that we ONLY SHIP TO THE USA AND CANADA. For orders from any other country please visit the Leon Paul global site at www.leonpaul.com.

To order just browse our Catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy then put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selections, click on "Check Out" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to despatch the order. Please note your card will be charged at the time you place your order.

At present we are only able to accept Visa and Mastercard payments. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes.

Shipping And Handling

All orders can ship for FREE!

We offer two options.

Air Mail is free and is an un tracked un insured service. This usually takes 10 working days from the date of DISPATCH (that is the date it is sent rather than the date it is ordered) to arrive but in some extreme cases may take up to 28 days.

Courier Shipping costs $9.95 for any size of order and is a tracked and insured service. This service usually takes 3-5 working days from the date of DISPATCH (that is the date it is sent rather than the date it is ordered) to reach you depending on your location.

Orders placed with Leon Paul USA ship from Leon Paul's global distribution facility in London England. Please note we are only able to ship to permanent residences and places of work. Orders placed on a Friday, Saturday or a Sunday will not ship until Monday as we are closed on weekends.

When the package leaves our dispatch department you will receive an automated email confirming that the parcel is on it's way, for orders sent via a tracked service this email will include a tracking number and instructions on how to track your parcel on line.

If a parcel arrives and is damaged or opened please check the contents of the parcel before you accept it. Leon Paul USA can not take responsibility if part of a package is missing once it has been signed for by the customer.

There is a check box during shipping that you can select if you want your parcel sent "no signature required". If you select this option then no signature will be required on delivery of your parcel and you waive you rights to claim for an undelivered parcel. Leon Paul USA can not be held responsible for any loss if you select "no signature required". Only select this option if you are certain that there is somewhere secure for the courier to leave the parcel and you are prepared to accept liability if the parcel is lost or stolen between the courier delivering it and you receiving it. For example if you place an order "no signature required" the couriers tracking service will only show a time of delivery and the fact that it was dropped off under the signature waiver system, it will give no more information. If the courier has left it on your porch or with a concierge but you don't ever receive it then you are accepting liability for this loss by selecting "no signature required" during checkout.

Tax Charges

Tax Charges Leon Paul USA send a majority of our orders from our global distribution centre in London, for delivery to the USA you should not be charged any duty for orders under $2000. In a tiny minority of cases, less than 1 in 1000, US customs incorrectly charge duty of around 4%. We are afraid that we can’t be responsible for these errors you will need to contact US customs and try to arrange for a refund directly with them. We are very sorry for any inconvenience that this causes.

If your delivery address is in Canada then you will be charged import duty by Canadian customs.

It is entirely the customers responsibility to be aware of ANY import charges that may be made regardless of the destination. Leon Paul USA can take no responsibility for ANY import or duty charges.

Credit Card Security

Once you enter the area of the site where credit card information has to be submitted you will be transferred to a SECURE server. You will see https:// at the beginning of the web address in your toolbar rather than http:// signifying that the area is secure. You will also see a padlock in the toolbar at the bottom of the browser. These pages are encrypted with 128 bit encryption and are GUARANTEED 100% SECURE. There is no way for a third party to read the information and the card details are only ever recieved by our bank, Leon Paul USA do not even have access to your card details so the system is 100% secure.

Guarantee

All of our products are guaranteed for 28 days minimum. If a product fails outside this period and you consider it to be sub standard please contact us and we will consider replacing it at no charge. When considering retuning a pair of shoes please note.

Many fencing shoes are design to protect the area which is damaged when a fencer over lunges and rolls the foot causing the side or upper surface of the shoe to slide across the floor. These protective areas are designed to minimise damage from occasional accidental over extended lunges. Repeated overextended lunges where the side or top of the shoe is dragged along the floor will cause damage to the shoe which is not covered by the warranty.

Bank and Credit Card charges

Bank and Credit card charges The site is entirely priced in US dollars and the payment is made to Leon Paul in US Dollars however; recently a very small minority of credit card companies and banks have started charging a “foreign transaction” fee because the final destination of the money is a bank based in England. This charge is only levied by a very small minority of card issuers, less than 0.2%. We believe that this charge is wholly unreasonable, there is no added risk for the card issuer and they are just taking an opportunity to rip off their, and our, customer. I am afraid that we can’t be held responsible for this charge as it is levied by the card issuer and we have no control over it. If this charge is made when you place an order we suggest that you contact the card issuer and make a strong request for a refund based on the fact that there is no additional work or risk for them by which to justify the charge.

Privacy Policy

Leon Paul USA do not disclose buyers information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' option.

Data collected by this site is used to:

a. Take and fulfill customer orders

b. Administer and enhance the site and service

c. Issue a unique identifier (e.g. customer login)

d. Monitor customer account status beyond that required for individual purchases

e. Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes

Returns Policy

All goods may be returned for a refund within 28 days of purchase provided that the merchandise is unused and in its original condition and packaging. Please do not order multiple sizes of a single item and then return the ones that don't fit. If you do this then Leon Paul incurs the shipping costs for sending you these items. Customers who take advantage of our free shipping service by ordering multiple sizes of a single item jeopardize our ability to offer free shipping. There are comprehensive size charts on the web site to help you order the correct size and if there are problems with sizes we deal with exchanges very quickly.

In situations where customers have ordered a range of sizes and sent some back for refund a 10% re stocking fee may be charged to cover our cost of shipping the goods to you. Leon Paul USA reserves the right to assess a 10% restocking fee on items returned without sufficient cause.

Items that have had names applied to them can not be returned for a refund under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Please only order an item with a name applied if you are 100% certain that it will fit you. 100% certain means that you will have tried the same item from the same range of clothing from Leon Paul in the last 6 months.

If goods were ordered incorrectly then exchanges can be made but shipping charges will be incurred. Leon Paul USA can not be held responsible for items lost in transit to us so please insure your return shipment.

Merchandise should be returned with a copy of the receipt and a note explaining the action that you want taken. Please write your credit card number (Visa or Mastercard) and expiration date on the receipt to pay for the return shipping of the item that you are exchanging.
