After some extensive testing we have come up with what we believe to be the perfect weight for an electric Sabre pommel. A standard Leon Paul pommel weighs 5g and provides the lightest weight weapon, standard European pommels weigh 11g to provide a bit more counterbalance. After research with top sabreurs including 4 times Olympic Champion and 7 times World Champion Stanislav Pozdnyakov we found that many fencers wanted a bit more weight. This new Sabre pommel is turned from solid stainless steel to a weight of 17g providing perfect counterbalance. The pommel accepts a standard 1/4 inch allan key and will never corrode.

In electric Sabre the weapon must be insulated from the lame sleeve and overlay. It is therefore essential that an insulated pommel is used. These pommels will fit all of our Sabre blades and can be easily tightened using a vice or adjustable spanner.

Non insulated stainless steel pommel for steam (non-electric) Sabre. This pommel is best tightened by placing it in a vice and then rotating the weapon using the guard for leverage.
